It’s a cold and dreary day here in Chicago but I am happy to have a busy schedule leading into the holidays. Tonight I’m at Winter’s Jazz Club with the Michael Lerich Quintet paying tribute to the great Benny Goodman. Later this month we’re doing a Brazillian themed concert with special guest Neal Alger at Carnivale. Should be a great time!
This weekend I am performing the much beloved Charlie Brown Christmas music created by Vince Guaraldi. I’ll be performing along side pianist Chris White and bassist Joe Policastro for two shows at Fitzgerald’s Night Club in Berwyn on Saturday Dec 10 at 11:30 and 1 pm.
Next up is a trio of concerts with the Sam Fazio Quartet featuring Victor Garcia on Trumpet. We’ll be performing holiday favorites at Metropolis Center in Arlington Heights on Dec 14. Then on Thursday Dec 15, we will be at the Palmer House celebrating the launch of Sam’s collaboration with Trader Vic’s tiki mugs. Yes he has his own tiki mug! Finally we will be doing a pre game concert for the Blackhawks vs Rangers on Dec 18.
After a much needed holiday break I’ll be traveling to Orlando for the Jazz Educator Network Convention! JEN Conference is always a blast and I’m really looking forward to performing there for the first time. I’ll be playing with the Frank Catalano Quartet on Friday at Noon on the Jazz Legends Stage. Can’t wait for warm weather and lot of great music!
